Our holiday home Rosa is located on the sunny side of the Moselle in Cochem-Cond on the road to Valwig.
Behind the house, the garden adjoins the neighboring gardens to a vineyard.
The house is within walking distance of Cochem city center, Cochem Castle and the surrounding vineyards. And it is close to the Moselle promenade: it is just 150m away.
With it’s appr. 5,000 inhabitants Cochem is not a big city, but has quite a city flair.
So you have both here: The quiet location of Haus Rosa and the famous Mosel town of Cochem with many restaurants and attractions.

OUR HOLIDAY HOME ROSA
Our sun-drenched (if it seems!) holiday home was built in the 1930s. We have completely renovated and refurbished it for you.
Equipment: All rooms, also the baths and the guest toilet have at least one window. The living and bedrooms, the kitchen and the bathrooms are equipped with oiled wood floors and some with high quality carpets.
The house is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, dishwasher, towels, bedding, washing machine and dryer etc.
In the living room you will find a stereo with iPod connection, CD player and radio, as well as a DVD player and a TV with satellite channels.
Our house can easily be occupied even by a few people and offers a perfect retreat for those who enjoy it’s cosiness, but do not want to miss the proximity of restaurants and urban flair.

COCHEM & MOSEL
(Wikipedia 🙂 The Reichsburg Cochem stands on a visible mountain cone 154 m above the city. As a summit castle she belongs to the type of mountain castles.
The plant, which served as a customs castle in the Middle Ages, was probably built around 1100 according to the results of current castle research.
After being destroyed in the 17th century, it was rebuilt by the Berlin merchant and later Secretary of Commerce Louis Fréderic Jacques Ravené in the years 1868-77, according to the taste of the castle romance. Burg Cochem is thus a good example of a building that was designed in the style of neo-Gothic during the time of historicism.
In the holiday home Rosa, you can already see it from a window with a view: The Mosel near Cochem is a river, as children would like to paint it: there are barges chugging along, there is fishing and bathing *, there one takes hold of the head and wants just keep looking.
*Swimming in the Moselle is allowed, but not without risk. If you do not want currents and want to have tested water quality, you can go to the Cochem outdoor pool. That’s nice too.

Reichsburg Cochem
The castle with its millennial history is an eye-catcher in Cochem. No matter which direction you approach the city, the castle towers on a steep mountain peak that rises over 100 meters above the Mosel.
Cultural Center Capuchin Monastery
The former Capuchin Monastery from 1630 is today a cultural center.
Cochem old town
The historic city wall with its old fortifications and medieval gates tells of the lively past of Cochem.
Cochem chairlift
Take the chair lift up and enjoy the view over the Mosel valley from the Terrassen-Café and the viewpoint “Pinner Kreuz”.
Gemstone Museum Cochem
Here you will find the fascinating world of gemstones, minerals and fossils and facts about the development of grinding art, which has made the Hunsrück world famous.
The Bundesbank’s bunker
The bunker was used to store currency reserves. He was a best kept secret of the old Federal Republic. In 2014, the underground bunker was sold to a Treis-Karden entrepreneur, who turned it into a museum.
Day trips
From Cochem you can easily reach the Hunsrück and the Eifel with their many hiking and cultural activities. In particular, the “Geierlay” – the most beautiful suspension bridge in Germany in Mörsdorf- can be reached in about 20 minutes by car.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit allem was man so braucht ausgestattet. Allerdings gibt es einige Risse in den Wänden mehrerer Zimmer.

Die Risse in den Aussen- und Innenwänden sind leider typisch für ein reines Bimssteingebäude aus den frühen Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts - zumal dieses auf einem Schuttkegel steht. Die Risse sind kein Grund zur Beunruhigung, das Haus steht seit fast 100 Jahren an diesem Platz...
Superb property in a superb location
The house is fantastic in every way, garage parking, spacious inside and a short walk over the bridge into town. We would definitely use again - what a prize find.
Super weekend in Haus Rosa
Bij aankomst de sleutel in ontvangst genomen; de garagedeuren waren reeds geopend zodat we de motoren direct van de weg af onder dak konden schuiven. Voor 4 personen ruim voldoende ruimte en diende goed als uitval basis voor diverse ritten. Dit jaar erg mooi weer gehad (in tegenstelling tot het jaar ervoor) en vele kilometers gemaakt. Makkelijk is het centrum te bereiken op loopafstand waar je goed kunt eten met afsluitend een heerlijk eis bij de Italiaan. Op de vrijdag en zaterdag waren er wijnfeesten op de berg achter de woning; erg gezellig.
Perfect Family Vacation
I was a bit hesitant renting a house half way around the world from a perfect stranger and my concerns were unwarranted. The homeowner was very responsive to my inquires and the caretaker next door made our arrival seamless. The house was clean and perfect for our group of seven ranging from age 25 to 76. The house is spacious and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and relaxing on the back deck - great for our group rather than being cooped up in hotel rooms. Going into town was a short five minute walk over the bridge to all the sight seeing destinations, restaurants and shopping. I would recommend Haus Rosa if your plans include Cochem or the surrounding area.

Haus Rosa ist wunderschön!
Das Haus ist wunderschön und sehr komfortabel, die Ortschaft lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir waren mit der ganzen Familie von Babys bis Urgroßeltern da und alle waren einfach begeistert. Das Vertragliche und alle weiteren Fragen und Wünsche waren sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit behandelt. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!!! Jede Zeit immer wieder! Wir danken ganz herzlich für gemütliche Tage und Abende im Haus und Abenteuer für klein und alt in der Stadt.
Una casa con vistas
La casa es grande, cómoda y está situada a pocos pasos del centro del bonito pueblo de Cochem. Las vistas del castillo desde la casa son increíbles. Nuestra estancia ha estado muy bien, pero tengo que destacar algunas cosas: aunque la cocina está equipada con todo lo necesario, no estaba todo lo limpia que hubiéramos deseado, no tiene microondas, un electrodoméstico que considero indispensable hoy en día y el frigorífico es pequeño, nosotros no tuvimos problema porque sólo eramos tres personas, pero sí es algo a tener en cuenta puesto que la casa está preparada para ocho. Es muy cómodo poder aparcar en el garaje, así te despreocupas del aparcamiento. Los alrededores son una maravilla, pueblos medievales, viñedos, castillos,...una zona que merece la pena explorar y que nos ha encantado.
Very nice rental for families or small group
I like this place very much. It was centrally located without being in a noisy area, and was reasonable walking distance to restaurants, dining, shopping, and the train (although I would not recommend visiting the area without a car). The street is a main street, but noise was not an issue at all. The beds were comfortable, but the master bed seemed slightly rickety. My main issue was with the laundry facilities; the dryer war not working, and, while the owners expressed their regrets, no effort was made to repair the dryer or suggest alternatives. We had been traveling for a week at that point, and were in need of laundry facilities. (We used the bathroom heaters to dry out things.) That is why I don't give this rental five stars.
Terrific House with excellent facilities
Haus Rosa is in a great location, a short walk to everything in Cochem. It is very quiet, especially at night so a good night sleep is assured. The beds are comfortable. The house was clean, well eqipped, excellent wifi and superb views of the castle from all the bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped as we ate at home and self catered several times. The washer and dryer are located in the garage and were easy to use. Communication with the owner was easy using email and check in and check out was very easy with the next door neighbor. We were a group of 5 friends from Australia who thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this large and comfortable house and had a fantastic week in Cochem. Would highly recommend this holiday home.
Fantastic apartment with castle view
We loved staying here, the house is huge, spotlessly clean, quiet at night, amenities were top class and was one of the better places we've stayed on our trips through Europe. The view of the town and castle from the bedrooms was amazing. The wifi worked perfectly and the kitchen was fantastic. We walked, towing our cases to and from the train station and it took about 15 minutes and wasn't too hard. We also walked up to the castle from the house. My daughter very much enjoyed our trip to the swimming centre (easy walk along river 1.5 to 2 km, or catch bus - not that frequent though). Go early afternoon to experience waves in the pool and the children's area with slides etc, it's nice and warm in there. An easy bike ride and then hike up to Burg Eltz is also possible for those without transport.

Perfektes Ferienhaus
Ein super schönnes Haus direkt an der Mosel. Wir waren mit 8 Personen da und hatten alle wirklich genug Platz, auch dank der Bäder gab es keinen "Stau". Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvol eingerichtet. Hier stimmt alles, von der Müslischale bis zu den Handtüchern! Vom Wohnzimmer und den Schlafzimmern hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Burg. Das Haus ist wirklich etwas Besonderes, hier kann man sich wohl fühlen. Die Lage ist auch klasse, ganz nah zur Stadt, aber trotzdem ruhig. Vielen Dank
Perfect base for Moselle
5 (old) guys on motorbikes stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be the perfect base for exploring the excellent roads of the region. House is clean and spacious. Garages easily accommodated 5 bikes and would probably take 3 more without a problem (maybe a couple more). Cochem town centre only 10 minutes walk across bridge, so handy for bars and restaurants. Would be great place for a family and/or friends holiday.

Aug. 2012 Hilfreiche Bewertungen: 5/0 Haus Rosa is a lovely, very spacious and well-equipped home. It is only a short walk over the bridge to the centre of Cochem, yet is very quiet. The kitchen is very large and well-equipped. while the living room offers soft couches to relax on. Bedrooms are also large and the beds comfy. I particularly enjoyed using the garden furniture from the shed to lie in the garden, as it was very warm while we were there. Only one thing - one key is not enough for all the people staying in the house as they may wish to do different things or come and go at different times. However, I'm sure it is very easy to get an extra key cut! Would definitely recommend the house to family and friends.
